Hundreds of documents detailing NSA operations are set to be declassified following a lawsuit filed by the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF). According to the EFF, the Justice Department has agreed to release hundreds of documents, including FISA court rulings. The files relate to the U.S. government’s interpretation of Section 215 of the Patriot, which allows the NSA to “set up” mass surveillance programs.
So we will soon see all the FISC orders and decisions issued from January 1, 2004, through June 2011, in accordance with the mandate of the Supreme Judicial Authority of the United States.
