Anonymous leaked data allegedly stolen from Brickcom, a Taiwanese company that offers high-end IP surveillance solutions.
Hacktivists leaked over 3,400 customer files containing usernames, email addresses, and passwords.
They even pointed out a section of Brickcom's website, which claims that the company offers "the latest in internet security and prevents unauthorized access."
“Seriously, we appreciate the fun, but they make us laugh so hard we spit our drinks on our keyboards,” the hackers state in the leaked list of files.
The hackers targeted Brickcom because the company provides services to law enforcement agencies that use its products for internet surveillance. They highlight the fact that Brickcom's products can be used for facial recognition.
"This leak is a dedication to those who have given up their liberty for the ideals of free speech, and a surveillance free internet. This leak is also dedicated to those who continue to risk their freedom and refuse to be paralyzed by the ever rising levels of paranoia we all feel as we read the news daily." the hackers said.
