How do you wash your hands in space?

It is known that weightlessness creates various problems in human daily movements. Crews of manned space missions and those of the International Space Station (ISS) must adapt to these special conditions to perform even the simplest tasks, such as washing their hands.

Canadian astronaut Chris Hatfield, currently aboard the ISS, agreed to participate in a seminar organized by the Canadian Space Agency. At one point, he was asked how they wash their hands on the Space Station and decided to give a step-by-step demonstration.

In a bag there is a solution of hot/cold water and soap. The astronauts open the bag and the contents begin to "float" in the air, becoming a ball that the astronauts grab with their hands and rub it to clean them. It is also interesting that the astronauts immediately spread out the towel they use to wipe their hands so that the water that will evaporate from it can be absorbed by the special systems of the Station and reused.
