About 108 days ago, Microsoft released a preview of its Advance Threat Protection service for eager enterprise customers who wanted to get a glimpse of the latest productivity, security, and device management features coming with the new Windows 10.
Now, three months later, Microsoft's threat assessment team has apparently felt confident enough with the feedback it received to finally make Advance Threat Analytics (ATA) v 1.7 publicly available to consumers.
In addition to the updates, ATA v 1.7 also enables support for Windows Server 2016 and Windows Server core, as well as user role-based access control, all thanks to feedback during the preview period.
Microsoft allows automatic download of ATA v 1.7 and ATA Center via Microsoft Update. The setup or configuration regarding the automatic upgrade part of ATA Gateways can be done in ATA Center immediately after the upgrade.
