The ultra-thin Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 is the new flip model
Flip phone fans out there who remember Motorola's RAZR with nostalgia now have the chance to get their hands on yet another flip phone. But this time it's from Samsung.
While there were rumors that Samsung was working on a flip phone codenamed “Veyron,” new leaks have suggested that the South Korean tech giant is working on a separate mid-range clamshell Android smartphone.
As usual, the leak appeared on the Chinese version of Twitter, Weibo, and shows an ultra-thin Samsung Galaxy Folder 2.
The Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 Android has a gold design and features a 3.8-inch display. From the information we can conclude that the Galaxy Folder 2 will be powered by an unnamed Qualcomm processor and will feature a 2,000 mAh battery.
The new Samsung phone will have an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera, 2GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable storage. It will be powered by Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
The Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 will be quite different from the rumored clamshell "Veyron," which according to reports, features a Snapdragon 820 chip, 4GB of RAM, a 12-megapixel shooter, and other specs.
However, Samsung has hinted that the company might be launching the Galaxy Folder 2 in the market . Weibo reports that the Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 phone will be priced at just $250. However, an international launch is currently ruled out.
