iOS 10 Beta 8 and Public beta 7 are here just a week after the releases of Beta 7 and Public Beta 6 announced on Friday, August 19, and contain even more fixes and improvements for existing functionality, as well as to increase the security of the operating system used on all iPhone, iPad and iPod devices.
There are no details on the exact changes implemented in these new Beta releases, but we suspect they have to do with the fact that Apple pushed out the fifth stable maintenance update for the iOS 9 series a few days earlier, fixing two kernel security issues and a WebKit bug that could have allowed a hacker to intercept sensitive information. Now that Apple has also released the eighth Beta build for developers and PUBLIC Beta 7 for everyone else, we strongly believe that this is the last we will see from the Cupertino company, which will soon be preparing for a September event where they may introduce a new iPhone. The rest of the world should also be able to update their devices to iOS 10 in September, but no potential release date has been announced at this time.
In addition to iOS 10, Apple will also unveil new versions of some of its other operating systems, including macOS 10.12 Sierra, watchOS 3, and tvOS 10, along with the Xcode 8 IDE for developers and perhaps a new stable version of the open-source programming language, Swift.
