Today we will be looking at the languages that security researchers and hackers use depending on what they want to do. Hacking is usually about breaking code. So we have divided hacking into three categories for the purpose of this article – Web Hacking, Exploit Writing & Reverse Engineering, and of course each of them requires a different programming language.
1. Web Hacking
Since most of the technology is built on the World Wide Web, it is important to know the web hacking part if you want to become a good hacker. Let's say you are interested in hacking web apps and/or websites, then you should learn web coding. Websites mostly use HTML, PHP and JavaScript so it is important to learn any of the three.
HTML: One of the easiest and most widely used static markup web languages. It is present in every website you have open in your browser. It is recommended to learn it as it will help you understand web actions, response, etc.
JavaScript: JS is client-side web programming mostly used in web sites for better user interface and fast response. If you are interested in starting your career as a hacker you should learn JavaScript because it will help you understand the client-side mechanism, which is necessary to find client-side flaws.

PHP: A dynamic server-side language that is responsible for managing web-apps and databases. PHP is considered one of the most essential languages because it controls everything on a site/server, just like the captain of a ship.
SQL: SQL is responsible for storing and managing sensitive and confidential data such as user credentials, banking and personal information for website visitors. Black hat hackers mainly target SQL database and steal the information, which they then sell on underground dark web forums.
