Starting January 28th, Apple will start charging for its iTunes radio services.

Starting January 28th, Apple will start charging for its iTunes radio service. The company sent an email to all of its customers who listen to the radio to let them know that it will be discontinuing its free service by the end of January.
Apple said in the email that Beats 1 radio will be the only free radio channel option available to those who are not part of the Apple Music deal.
The email from Apple said: “As a listener of Apple Music’s ad-supported radio, we want you to know that it will be discontinuing as of January 28th. Beats 1 will now be the first free broadcast, so you’ll continue to get the best music and culture there, with world-renowned DJs like Zane Lowe, other experts in the field, and special programming from artists like Dr. Dre, Drake, Pharrell Williams and others.”
Judging from this email, it's obvious that Apple is planning to disband its iAd sales teams.
The email continued, “Plus, with an Apple Music subscription, you can access dozens of radio stations curated by our team of music experts, ad-free and with unlimited skips. Or you can create your own station based on your favorite songs and artists. Start your Apple Music subscription now and enjoy unlimited access to everything radio has to offer along with the entire Apple Music catalog.”
Judging by this email, it’s obvious that Apple is planning to disband its iAd sales teams.
The company recently announced the end of the iAd App Network.
