A significant distinction in applications that utilize satellite navigation technologies was given to the proposal "YOOR - Exchanging Experiences", created by Philippos Beveratos and Jean-Robert Malandra, an application on mobile devices for information and communication between sailors, tourists and sea travelers, which aims to highlight interesting small sea destinations in Greece and the entire Mediterranean.
This proposal was selected among the Greek entries in the GNSS 2014 competition organized by the Hellenic Space Technology and Applications Association (HSA), in collaboration with the Association of Hellenic Space Technology and Applications Industries (ESTI), the National Research and Technology Network (NRTN), which coordinates the initiative within the framework of the LDA project, the National Observatory of Athens (NOA), the National Cadastre and Mapping S.A. (NCMA) and the Technopolis of the Municipality of Athens (TECHNOPOLIS), with the aim of rewarding the best products, services and business innovations based on the use of satellite navigation technologies in everyday life.

Another Greek proposal entitled "Seagrass in HD" from the "Archipelagos" Institute of Marine Sciences by Demosthenes Traganos and Samuel Matthews, an application for managing the marine ecosystem, received special distinction.
Another special Greek presence was that of sboing with "sbCliMate", which took 4th place in the "T-Systems big data challenge" category.
As stated by Yiannis Kotsis-Giannarakis, general director of the Association of Mobile Application Companies of Greece (SEKEE), which organized the Greek leg of the competition: "The Greek applications that were awarded record a dynamic appearance of Greek innovators in an important sector where technology comes into our daily lives. Greece shows that it has know-how and remarkable human resources, and made a strong presence in this first international appearance, submitting a total of 18 proposals.".
The awarded proposals will be presented at the event: "Bringing Space down to Earth – Smart Cities Services" which will take place on Thursday, October 30 at 10.00 at the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Hub of the Technopolis of the Municipality of Athens – InnovAthens.
