Canonical has announced that some curl vulnerabilities have been identified and have been patched in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, and Ubuntu 10.04 LTS operating systems.
The developers have released a new update for the curl package and it appears that some security issues have been fixed.

The bugs can be fixed by updating your system with the latest libcurl3-nss, libcurl3-GnuTLS, and libcurl3 packages. To apply the patch, you will need to run the Update Manager application.
