A malicious application, which appears to be hosted by Facebook but leads to another page, aims to deceive members of the popular social network.
The application is released with the following link, giving the impression that it is a Facebook application. However, a brief search using the application's name on the social network yielded no results.
The above link takes the user outside of Facebook, to another domain, and asks them to follow certain steps to change the color of their Facebook page. It probably goes without saying that your profile color will not change despite the scammers' promises.
The four conditions to "see" your profile color change are:
You must like their Facebook page.
Authenticate the application (It essentially asks you to grant it access)
Copy and paste an unknown address. .
After all this, the miracle will happen, or so they want you to believe. Facebook won't change color, but the app will have access to your friends list and will be authorized to make posts on its own, advertising itself.
So be careful, if you want to change the color of your profile, it's better to use a browser plugin, such as Color Changer for Facebook for Chrome.
