Electronic Arts ' online digital distribution service was briefly down after a major DDoS attack carried out by the DERP hacker group, the same group that also took down the PlayStation Network and other online games.
Hacker attacks have increased in recent days, as the new hacker group DERP has emerged.
While at first they took down various online games such as League of Legends or PlanetSide 2, the group managed to take down the Electronic Arts digital distribution service through a DDoS attack.
For a short period of time lasting a few hours, users were unable to connect to the service.
