A new all-in-one mini computer called the JaguarBoard has launched on the Kickstarter crowdfunding website this month from Jaguar Electronic, offering a small computer equipped with x86 architecture.
Measuring just 101.9 x 64.5 x 1.6 mm, the Mini PC is equipped with an Intel Atom Z3735G processor supported by 1GB of DDR3L RAM and is capable of running a variety of different operating systems such as Windows, Android and Linux.
This new Mini computer is similar to the Raspberry Pi, but is based on the x86 architecture. The developers behind the mini computer explain a little more about its inspiration.
“Have you ever wished for a single mini computer like the Raspberry Pi, but with better performance and x86 architecture? The JaguarBoard is the answer to your wish! Based on the x86 architecture, the JaguarBoard brings better performance, with a high level of scalability and compatibility. It will allow programmers and DIYers who are experienced with the x86 architecture to enjoy the unique software of the computer, without having to learn about embedded systems, such as ARM.”
You are the geeks. You are the DIYers. You are the programmers. Armed with the suite of development tools available for the x86 architecture and emboldened by the processing prowess offered by the JaguarBoard, your only limitation is your own imagination.
