After launching the Libre Computer Renegade mini PC last year, the company has now introduced its new mini PC, called the Libre Computer Renegade Elite, which takes the form of a mini electronic board, equipped with an RK3399 processor.
It features a hexa-core Rockchip RK3399 processor with two ARM Cortex-A72 CPU cores, four ARM Cortex-A53 CPU cores supported by quad-core ARM Mali-T860 graphics and 4GB of RAM. The new mini PC will offer a more powerful system that will be able to run Android Oreo or GNU/Linux-based operating systems with the mainline Linux kernel 4.19 or later, or with a specific Rockchip that has kernel version 4.4 or later, according to Brad Linder of the Liliputing website.
Connections and ports on the Libre Computer Renegade Elite mini PC include a handy microSD card slot, eMMC 5.x interface for storage, as well as an HDMI 2.0 port, Gigabit Ethernet, 3 x USB 2.0 type-A ports, 2 x USB 3.0 Type-C ports, including one with power delivery support.
Unfortunately, no information has been announced about pricing or international availability from Libre Computer. The original Libre Computer Renegade is also available for purchase for $35 from online retailers like Amazon and LoverPi.
