Anonymous - Anonymous Campaigns that Impress!

Aside from some famous hacking campaigns for which the Anonymous group is known, hacktivists have also participated in many other interesting campaigns, which may not have received much publicity, but certainly deserve your attention.

Most of you will be aware of the #OpISIS, #OpParis, #OpMonsanto, #OpKillingBay, #OpKKK, which we have discussed in detail in our previous articles, as well as the new #OpTrump campaign that started just a few days ago, aiming to disable the website of US presidential candidate Donald Trump.

After further research we discovered and present to you other notable Anonymous campaigns that you may have never heard of.

Operation Safe Winter – Campaign for the protection of the homeless

Anonymous-safewinter

#OpSafeWinter is a campaign that aims to raise awareness among citizens about the people living on the street, as well as the dangers they face during the winter period. The campaign started last year, but the team has already mobilized to continue it this year as well.

Operation Cheetah Trade – Campaign against the trade of cheetahs

Anonymous

The title speaks for itself. This brand‑new campaign refers to the fact that the Middle Eastern countries refuse to follow international law and sell newborn chicks on the internet.

Operation Death Eaters – Campaign against cannibalism

Operation-Death-Eaters Anonymous

The topic of this specific campaign is chilling. Apparently some members of Anonymous have infiltrated cannibal communities on the “dark web” and plan to steal sensitive information by exposing the individuals participating in them.

Operation Innocence Peshawar – Campaign for innocence

Operation Innocence Peshawar

This campaign is scheduled for December 16 and marks the one-year anniversary of the mass murder of innocent children in Pakistan, following an attack by Islamist extremists on a school in Peshawar. The hackers plan to spread messages of support on social media, and so far no scheduled DDoS attacks have been set.

Operation Footage – Campaign against ISIS

Isis-Anonym

The Anonymous guide the members of this specific campaign to collect all audio, video and image files that ISIS uploads to the internet, with the purpose of creating a unified database and sharing it with the relevant authorities. This database will be used to bring the ISIS members to justice when the war ends.

Operation Refugee Outreach – Campaign for refugees

refugees

This campaign is similar to the #OpSafeWinter campaign, however it concerns raising public awareness about refugees from around the world. It is more of a social media campaign rather than cyberwar.

Operation Free Waters – Free water campaign

Aigypt

This campaign is related to a dam being built on the Nile, in the Nubia region of Egypt. This campaign is similar to #OpMonsanto, as the Anonymous have declared war against a Saudi Arabian company that refuses to abandon a multi‑million‑dollar investment in the area.
