Pillow Talk is an important part of a relationship. It's your intimate conversations before you fall asleep as you gaze into each other's eyes.
But that can be difficult when you're in a long-distance relationship. A product named after those shared moments hopes to bridge the gap between lovers. Pillow Talk lets you feel your partner's presence as you listen to each other's heartbeats through a speaker and wristband.
An iOS or Android app brings you and your partner together! When you lie in bed, you wear your bracelets that contain heart sensors. You can hear and feel each other's heartbeat through a speaker that you can place under your pillow.
The products, available in red or blue, are designed with soft and comfortable fabric. The speaker can be used without the soft cover to hear your partner's heartbeat louder. Using the app, you can also connect your headphones to your phone and listen to your loved one's heartbeat.
Pillow Talk was originally created for couples, according to the Kickstarter page, and the campaign ends on December 10th.
About 3.5 million Americans live far from their spouses, according to a 2014 report from the U.S. Census Bureau. And about three-quarters of college students have been in a long-term, long-distance relationship, according to a 2012 study from Purdue University.
Joanna Montgomery, the founder of Little Riot, which makes Pillow Talk, says the device can be used beyond romantic relationships. For example, parents who are often away from home and their children can use it to make their presence felt.
While modern technology has allowed people to connect with loved ones through texting, video chat, and simply talking on the phone, Montgomery, who was in a long-distance relationship when she developed the idea, thinks that kind of connection isn't enough. So she designed Pillow Talk as part of a university project.

However, Pillow Talk isn't the only device that connects people through heartbeats. The Apple Watch lets you send your heartbeat to someone. The watch's healthcare app uses sensors to let parents hear their baby's heartbeat on their wrist.
