The Indiegogo is hosting a fairly ambitious project called Pavlok, which wants to help people with bad habits overcome them and replace them with more beneficial ones for their bodies. How? Through electric shock!
By wearing a small device on the hand or anywhere else on the body, each person will be able to inform Pavlok about the bad habits they want to break via an app. These can be either visiting a fast food restaurant, waking up late, or spending hours on Social Media, etc. Then, the device will take action.
Every time the device senses that the user has "rolled over again," it will first send them some warning vibrations and if they do not comply, it will give them an electric shock. According to the Pavlok team, the electric shock is harmless and ranges from 17 to 340 volts. With the help of the electric shock, the brain better understands bad habits and it is easier to eliminate them.
In just one day, Pavlok has managed to raise $44,328 of the $50,000 goal set by the team, which will definitely be achieved within the next 30 days. We expect Pavlok to launch in April 2015.
