Samsung fixes Galaxy bug

According to Slashgear, all Samsung GALAXY  smartphones that are enabled on KNOX will receive a corrective patch to stop them from being exposed to threats.

At the same time, Samsung announced that it is in communication and collaboration with independent keyboard application developers, such as Swiftkey, in order to prevent similar security vulnerabilities from recurring in the future.

It is worth noting that Swiftkey is the pre-installed keyboard on many Samsung devices, even on prominent representatives of the GALAXY family, such as the Samsung Galaxy S6.

Mobile security company NowSecure had warned of the risks posed to more than 600 million GALAXY Smartphone owners by the keyboard language pack upgrade process, which is done without encryption and may allow malicious code to be introduced to these devices.

Those with KNOX enabled will need to either manually check for updates or choose to automatically check for updates.

Samsung, however, states in all tones that this security flaw must be completely fixed. Swiftkey, for its part, states that the problem is not in its application, but in the smartphone.
