  • Along with the announcement of Android M, the Developer Preview version was also confirmed

Along with the announcement of Android M, Google also confirmed the Developer Preview. The Developer Preview is already available for download starting today. However, the Developer Preview is not compatible with all devices, only with the most popular Nexus devices. This means that owners of the Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 9 and Nexus Player can now download the Android M Developer Preview.

  • Features:

According to Google's announcement, Android M has several new features aimed at providing greater user privacy protection, as well as longer battery life. The Android M Developer Preview also includes updated SDK tools, system images for testing on the official Android emulator, and system images for testing compatible Nexus devices, namely the Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 9 and Nexus Player.

  • The new Doze feature is available, for longer battery life

It should be noted that a new feature called Doze is also available, which allows Android M to detect if the device is not being used via motion detection. If it is not used for a certain period of time, it will automatically enter sleep mode, in order to save energy and extend the battery life of the mobile phone.

Google with Android M perfects the system that grants permissions to apps. Its release is expected after the summer.
