The results of the online action “CYBERKID” since its launch

At the same time, a large number of users of "smart" devices ( smartphones , tablets ) installed the CYBERKlD application .
The response of citizens to the operation of the innovative online action "CYBERKlD" of the Cybercrime Prosecution Directorate of the Hellenic Police is particularly positive and with significant results.
The action presents remarkable statistical results, concerning the high traffic of internet users on www.cyberkid.gr and the corresponding page on Facebook. There is also a large number of citizens who have installed the “CYBERKlD” application on “smart” mobile devices (smartphones, tablets).
CYBERKIDThe” following is a brief description of the “ action that is being developed on the official website www.cyberkid.gr, on the Facebook page and on the innovative application for mobile devices, while at the same time the statistical data recorded by the action since its start of operation are analyzed.
- Website www.cyberkid.gr
At https://www.cyberkid.gr/, useful information and advice are provided on how the whole family can take advantage of the positive aspects of the modern technologies that surround us and of course the internet.
In the context of the continuous updating and development of the website www.cyberkid.gr, the “Digital Arena” section was recently created, where children can play their favorite electronic games with complete protection from the dangers that lurk on the internet. The games, 31 in total, have modern graphics and fast development in order to keep the children's interest undiminished within the Digital Arena.
Furthermore, the website was enriched with two new sections. The "CyberAlert" section where the public can be informed about the most frequently occurring dangers circulating on the internet and the "News" section where announcements concerning the Cybercrime Prosecution Directorate are posted.
In total, the website www.cyberkid.gr has had 2,283,861 views from 196,401 internet users since October 2011, with 1,820,112 views ( 80%) achieved from May 2014 to date.
- Cyberkid application for mobile devices ( APPS )
The Cyberkid application for "smart" mobile devices (mobile phones, tablets) was created with the aim of informing parents and children of every family daily, even when they are away from home, about issues related to safe internet browsing and the dangers that lurk therein.
At the same time, it is an interactive application, which allows direct communication with the Cybercrime Prosecution Directorate through the CYBER ALERT line, but also by sending an instant electronic message (email), using a button, while there is the possibility of entertainment through various games.
- Cyberkid Facebook page
The Cyberkid Facebook Page was created in May 2014 with the aim of enhancing the visibility of the website https://www.cyberkid.gr/on social media.
As can be seen in the screenshot below, the Page's posts arouse the public's interest, resulting in them attracting a large number of people and being shared on users' profiles several times. It has a particular resonance, as 2,450 Facebook users have already stated that they "like" and "follow" its activity. They also often share its posts through the Facebook platform. A total of 108 posts have been made on the above Page by the Prosecution of Electronic Crime.
