Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has launched a scathing attack on Tim Cook and Apple's privacy policy, calling it "ridiculous" and criticizing Apple 's pricing policy for its various products, especially the iPhone. Tim Cook recently said that "when an online service is free, the user is not the consumer, but the product itself." This statement was directed at Google , but it seems that the Facebook founder was very annoyed by it.
Zuckerberg then stated:
"I'm annoyed with a lot of people who advertise their business model by emphasizing that it's closely intertwined with consumers. I think it's a ridiculous approach. What do you think? Because you pay Apple, you're on the same wavelength as them? If that were the case, then their products wouldn't be so expensive!"
Although admittedly the relations between Facebook and Apple are basically harmonious, there have been attacks from one against the other in the past.
