OTE is launching satellite Internet access services. The company has partnered with Eutelsat to launch the OTE Satellite Internet service with speeds of “up to 22Mbps/6Mbps” before consuming the stipulated GB traffic limit. OTE Satellite Internet operates on a volume-based basis, and the plan with a monthly fee of approximately 40 euros allows for the consumption of 25GB, with free use without volume charging at night .
The service is available throughout Greece and is considered an ideal solution for those who do not have broadband Internet access (via fixed or mobile connection) in their area. The use of the service does not require a fixed telephone line and the equipment (special satellite antenna and modem) is available free of charge.
