Google introduces polls to the Google+ platform

Google introduced a new feature to Google+ at the request of many users: Polls.

“Michael Jordan or James LeBron? Best pizza in New York? Best James Bond movie? These are just some of the questions that can be answered by asking for the opinions of others. Starting today, you can use Google+ polls to get opinions on burning issues of our generation… or find out what your friends think,” the company said in a statement. Google points out that with the new application, creating a poll will now be very easy. In addition to static images, the user will have the ability to add GIF images that will make the poll even more beautiful and interesting.

Voting made easy

The voting process is extremely easy, requiring only a click on the option you want to vote for. The results of the vote are displayed in a color graph. You can decide who to share the poll with, just like you would with a post – friends, groups, fans and so on. There is also the option to share the poll with only specific people, selected by name. “Of course, no poll is as important as yours, so try the new app by tapping the poll icon when creating a post. Polls will be available in the coming days for Web, Android and soon for iOS,” the company notes.

And while Google is introducing polls to its platform, Facebook is eliminating them, considering them unnecessary. Obviously, the two companies have different approaches to this issue and it remains to be seen which of the two will be confirmed.
