The Wikipedia School in Athens is a new institution that is being implemented as a continuation of previous courses that have been conducted by Wikipedians, either in a school environment or as part of continuing education.
The classes will begin on October 20 at the Municipality of Kaisariani and will be free, will be held three times a week by experienced Wikipedia editors and will includelearning skills in speech (simplicity, structure, neutral style, objectivity, critical thinking), the writing environment and writing rules, as well as special exercises for expressing criticism, managing emotion and collaboration.
They aim to teach writing skills (simplicity, structure, neutral style, objectivity, critical thinking) and will help aspiring Wikipedia editors by teaching them the rules of writing on Wikipedia.
Also, writing lessons are planned for students at the 24th High School of Athens and the 2nd High School of Kaisariani, in the presence of their teachers, as part of the schools' cultural activities.
