The complaint stated that since June 2014 five fake Facebook accounts were created with her name and photos; a 28-year-old from Limassol made the report.
According to her testimony to the Police, the accounts in question contained posted comments of obscene and indecent content concerning her.
For the case, a 37-year-old resident of Limassol was considered a suspect, who was arrested under a court order and placed in custody. Prior to his arrest, a search of his home was carried out where a computer and a mobile phone were found and seized for further forensic examination.
The Office of Cybercrime Investigation continues the investigations into the case.
