A new "creature" was added to Facebook this week. A little blue dinosaur is now helping users of the most popular social network secure their accounts.
Everyone has seen it at some point on their page urging them to do a security "checkup" to make sure what personal information they are sharing online.
With the dinosaur as an assistant and guide, the user can regulate not only who sees the posts they upload, but also who can comment on them.
The dinosaur also takes the user on a tour of the personal information they have uploaded to their profile: the email that appears, their work history, and so on and so forth..
The recent scandal involving the hacking of nude photos of famous Hollywood stars has mobilized all the tech giants, who are highlighting to their users the security settings they have at their disposal to protect themselves.
