The anti-piracy group VAP filed a lawsuit against four internet service providers (ISPs), who refused to comply with the request to block users' access to the streaming Movie4K.to and Kinox.to.
Additional legal action is expected to be taken against the providers for their refusal to block PirateBay, TorrentFreak reports.
Following a series of favorable rulings from the European Court of Justice and the Austrian Supreme Court, the Austrian anti-piracy group decided to take action of its own, starting a battle with ISPs that refused to restrict users' access to all sites.
UPC, Drei, Tele2 and A1 are the internet that were asked by VAP to block PirateBay, as well as Movie4K.to and Kinox.to.
Another anti-piracy group, IFPI, has also submitted a similar request addressed to five Austrian providers, who are being asked to restrict access to ThePirateBay, isoHunt.to, 1337x.to and H33t.to.
