It is already known that Google is the most popular search engine in the world. In fact, globally, it is used by 88.37% of internet users, slightly lower than the market share it managed to have last month.
Bing comes second, with 4,53%, while Yahoo is much further behind with 3,93%, as data from StatCounter reveal. Ask Jeeves and Baidu are also two browsers that managed to capture people's attention. The former was used by 0,59% of users, while the latter by 0,55% of users. Other internet browsers represent 2,03%.
When it comes to mobile devices, Google is used by an even larger number of people. The search engine has 93.25% of the market, while Yahoo comes in second with 3.9%. Bing is only preferred by 1.58% of mobile users.
The world map shows that the only country where Google is not the most used search engine is China, where Baidu has 64.42% of the market.
This, of course, is due to internet censorship within the country, where Google already has many problems.
