Sharp's new phones offer an image across the entire front surface
Sharp has announced two new smartphones with impressive designs. The Aquos Crystal series stands out for its unique display, as it covers the entire front surface of the device, without any margin!
This is a collaboration product between Sharp and telecommunications provider Softbank.
The new device will be released in Japan on August 29th and is expected to be available for pre-order in the US starting tomorrow, Tuesday.
The Sharp Aquos Crystal features a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The processor is a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400, clocked at 1.2GHz. It has 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of storage.
On the other hand, its more powerful "little brother", called Aquos Crystal X, has a half-inch larger screen. The 5.5-inch screen is Full HD 1920 x 1080 pixels. The processor is a more powerful Snapdragon 801 accompanied by 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It also has microSD expansion up to 128GB.
