American director Oliver Stone is preparing a new film inspired by the story of former CIA agent Edward Snowden.
The film's script will be based on the book by Guardian journalist Luke Harding, "The Snowden Files: The Story of the World's Most Wanted Man.".
Harding, along with other Guardian, will provide consulting services on the film's plot, while Moritz Borman, who has been working with Stone for years, will be a co-producer on the film.
“This is one of the biggest stories of our time,” Stone says. “It’s a real challenge. I’m glad the Guardian is working with us.”
According to reports, filming of the film will begin by the end of 2014, but no additional details are mentioned, such as the exact release date, casting information, etc.
However, according to estimates, the film is expected to be officially released in early 2016.
