Google has decided to disallow the installation of extensions on its Chrome browser unless they come from the official Web Store .
Because many extensions that were freely circulating on the Internet were not checked, resulting in many containing malware that was dangerous to the user, Google will no longer allow their installation.
Now, the only source for installing browser add-ons will be from the Chrome Web Store , where Google guarantees the security of the included extensions.
The beginning has already been made with Google Chrome version 35 for Windows. Please note that if you have third-party extensions installed, they will automatically stop working until they are submitted and approved in the Chrome Web Store.
