It seems that WhatsApp administrators have finally listened to user feedback and will offer a fix for the Windows Phone app, which is lousy for Windows Phone 8.1 Developer Preview.
The problems that have appeared in Windows Phone 8.1 Developer Preview are the huge battery consumption, the lack of notification for new messages or their late reception.
As it turns out, the developers finally decided to do something about it, so the WhatsApp Messenger app appears to have been removed from the Windows Phone Store.
This means that new users can no longer download it, although the WhatsApp still exists in the online store. Those who search for the app through the desktop version of the Windows Phone Store will no longer find it, but you can visit the WhatsApp Messenger page directly from the phone.
However, on WhatsApp's store page, it states that the app is no longer published, which means the developers have removed it for some reason.
We believe that WhatsApp plans to fix some of the issues it had and then release the app once again. Hopefully, it will happen as soon as possible.
