Sony Pictures has announced that it wants to use Edward Snowden's story to turn it into a film.
Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson of EON Productions, the production company behind the James Bond films, have been tasked with bringing the book to the screen. The pair are co-producers on Skyfall, Quantum of Solace, Casino Royale, Die Another Day, World Is Not Enough, Tomorrow Never Dies and GoldenEye.
Some of the films mentioned above are good efforts. Others are not among the most well-known Bond films.
Sony has n't announced when the Snowden film might hit theaters, but it's not hard to imagine the studio is eager to rush things along so it can debut before the Snowden story starts to tire or fade from memory.
Finally, there is no mention of casting.
