More Chromebooks! After launching its Yoga models in April, Lenovo seems to be looking to grab a bigger slice of the market. Chinese company Lenovo is targeting the education market with two new models running Google's Chrome OS. The N20 and N20p, designed for schools, are here.
The two new models will start at $279 and $329 respectively. The interesting thing about the N20 and N20p is the touchscreen and the hinge that allows the keyboard to fold up to 300 degrees. So the two Chromebooks will be able to be used as tablets by their owners.
With a hinge that allows for a fold that exceeds 180 degrees and a “Stand mode,” both Chromebooks seem to be ideal for watching videos and showing presentations.
Both models run Chrome OS, and their chip is a quad-core Intel processor.
Lenovo says the N20 and N20p will last eight hours on a full charge. The display is 11.6 inches with a resolution of 1,366×768 pixels. The dimensions of both models are 295 mm x 212 mm x 17.9 mm. Their capacity will be 16GB, expandable to 100GB with Google Drive (of course, for a fee).
The new Lenovo N20 and N20p Chromebooks will be available in July and August 2014, respectively. The two new models are not yet available on the company's website.
