qBittorrent, a multi-platform BitTorrent client developed in C++/Qt4 by Christophe Dumez, designed to work on all major platforms, is now available in version 3.1.9.2.

The new version of qBittorrent 3.1.9.2 arrived with only one fix, for the Heartbleed bug. The developers did not implement any other fixes or changes for the new version and the only reason for this update is the fix mentioned above.

You might think that a simple torrent client wouldn't be affected by the Heartbleed bug, which showed how vulnerable the OpenSSL library is to attacks, but good torrent clients also have a web UI feature. Fortunately, the Linux build wasn't affected by the bug (the developers don't explain why), but a new version has been released just in case.

A full list of changes and updates is available in the official announcement. You can also check out the review . You can download qBittorrent 3.1.9.2 here.
