A three-Michelin-starred restaurant is now trying to improve its customer service by conducting a Google before they arrive. According to a report from Grub Street, the restaurant's maître d' conducts an online search for each guest in order to give each customer the experience they desire.
The maitre d', Justin Roller, says he tries to find out things like whether a couple coming into the restaurant is celebrating an anniversary and what kind. If it's a birthday, for example, he wants to wish them "Happy Birthday" upon arrival. He also wants to scan photos of guests and place them on wine glasses to give them a more personal touch.
Finally, he wants to go deeper: Roller wants to be able to connect people with each other, that is, he wants to put people who have the same origin or the same interests together.
This is a very good use of the internet and a way to put down our mobile phones and get to know our neighbor!
Do you think he will succeed?? In any case, in our country we would have already reported him for a violation of personal data or we would have called him "tampered"!
