New revelations recently came to light regarding the actions of the NSA, which had allegedly infiltrated the servers of the Chinese company Huawei, spying on its communications.

According to reports by The New York Times and Der Spiegel, the US secret service had managed to gain access to the source code of certain Huawei, as part of the “Shotgiant” operation, with the intention of installing backdoors in them.

Creating backdoors was seen as a good idea, as some of the NSA's targets were using Huawei equipment, and American spies were trying to determine whether the company's equipment was sending any information back to China.

The NSA, according to documents leaked by Edward Snowden, was also spying on communications between senior Huawei executives.
