German carrier O2 has leaked an internal document, according to which Apple will start shipping a new version of the iPhone 5c this week.
Despite the fact that there isn't enough convincing evidence to suggest that the iPhone 5c is a total failure, it seems like people don't exactly care about the device, the color, or the storage capacity.
That's why Apple will start selling this new version of the device at a more attractive price. A leaked internal email from the company reveals that Apple wants to develop an iPhone 5c with 8GB of storage at a lower price than the original 16GB model (likely $99/€99 with a two-year contract).
According to the message, prices may be reduced on other 5c models as well. Apple continues to sell the iPhone 4S on contract for $0, but it may not be able to do so for much longer if the 5c offer goes through.
The first colors for the 8GB iPhone 5c will reportedly be blue and white.
