The good guys at WhatsApp have released a new version of the instant messaging app for Android devices, which appears to bring new features and improvements.
Unfortunately, there is no reference to how many changes have been included in this version, as the developers have not yet updated the changelog published on the Google Play Store.
The good news is that this updated version is available on Google Play, so those who already have a previous version installed on their devices can simply download the latest version directly from their devices.
From what it looks like, the latest version of WhatsApp comes with widgets, which can be placed on the home screen for quick access to the app.
Aside from that, it is likely that many changes included in previous beta versions of WhatsApp are part of this stable release.
WhatsApp has also included privacy protection options, which are found under Settings / Account / Privacy. This allows users to predefine who can see them when they were last online or who can view their profile picture.
Users can also choose who can see their status, as well as contacts from the Contacts list.
You can download WhatsApp Messenger for Android 2.11.184 for free via the Google Play Store. Keep in mind that the app should be fully compatible with most devices running Android 2.1 and up.
