Initially, apps like Wickr and Silent Circle were released, designed to keep users' communications secure, but now we're seeing more solutions built into mobile phones. The Blackphone is perhaps the most popular example, but mobile provider FreedomPop is showing off a modified Samsung smartphone known as The Privacy Phone.
FreedomPop has taken the Samsung Galaxy S2 and given it a new look. The revamped phone uses 128-bit encryption to keep calls and text messages secure, while a virtual private network (VPN) is used to keep data usage safe.
