In times of crisis and despair, "companies" with an unknown purpose set up scams against unsuspecting victims, offering tempting sums for the difficult times we are going through..
These companies may present themselves as "Consulting Companies", usually based abroad and looking for partners. In fact, they send an active link to the official website of their "company" so that you can verify that this company actually exists.
The scam is very well-organized and it is the only easy thing to give in to, since the people's desperation to work seems like a "Mother from Heaven." With their motto: "Let's turn the crisis into an opportunity," it seems that such "companies" operate unmolested.
From the personal receipt of an email to a kozaniLife.gr associate, it was determined that this is clearly a well-organized fraud, in which one can even find themselves involved in serious criminal offenses. After contacting the Cybercrime Prosecution, the information they provided confirms the dangerousness of this operation, since the number of victims is large.
However, the victim is automatically an unwitting perpetrator since the money transfers he makes are illegal and implicate him in serious criminal offenses. Criminal prosecution has been initiated for these companies, which of course have come under the attention of the Electronic Crime Prosecution Service. In the task of identifying these "companies", the only ones who can help are the recipients of these emails.
Specifically, they send the email under the pretext that you have been selected through an official job search page (this is especially true if you have registered your resume in order to find a job). They tell you that they want you to become an external partner to carry out "bank transactions", in which of course they do not ask for your personal account details, but you can, to clear up any doubts, create a new account just for this collaboration. Then the percentage and amount of the collaboration are mentioned and that is where the controversial point where one can "get involved" is... Apparently, they are in such a hurry to conclude a collaboration that they automatically send you the relevant collaboration contract!
It is recommended to be very careful where you give your personal information and especially if you become the recipient of such a message, contact the Cybercrime Unit directly to help identify these scammers!
