While everyone is still waiting for the official release of VLC Media Player for Windows 8, VideoLAN has announced a new version for Windows, which updates a fairly significant number of bugs and delivers an improved overall experience of Microsoft's operating system.
VLC Media Player 2.1.3 fixes a set of bugs affecting video rendering, decoders, streaming output, HTTP interface, and the kernel.
Among the most important changes that are part of the announcement, it is worth noting a bug that affects DirectDraw for Windows XP, the multimedia keys and DVD and BD folders, in all Windows versions.
The update concerns all users running the application, who should download VLC Media Player 2.1.3 for Windows.
