As had been known since December, Google was preparing to bring Chrome applications from the desktop to mobile operating systems , through a toolkit that it offered to developers.
With this toolkit, developers would now have the ability to build Chrome apps for Android and iOS.
Google has completed the toolkit and is making it available to developers so they can "port" their applications to Android and iOS.
By developing a compatibility layer through Apache Cordova, Google has enabled developers to easily build and distribute their applications on the App store and Google Play.
