The company will continue to provide support for Windows XP, for at least two years
According to a Kaspersky, ...life goes on after the end of Windows XP support, as many companies will continue to provide support for the 12-year-old operating system for at least two more years.
“We bet that users around the world will continue to use their favorite operating system after its support ends. Not only because of its usefulness, but also because of habit. It has been 12 years since its public presentation and many users have become accustomed to the system startup sound, the default screensaver, and the huge “Start” button. Even I use Windows XP on my home computer,” explains Rodion Nagornov of Kaspersky.
Kaspersky is one of the companies that will continue to provide updates for Windows XP after its retirement, and users who run the company's security software will remain protected for at least another 24 months.
“To calm Windows XP users, we must clarify the situation. Support will be provided! The current versions of our products and at least the next two generations will be able to be installed and run correctly on the XP platform”, added o Nagornov.
