Google draws attention to International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

Google for the Elimination of Violence against Women today, by decorating its homepage with a white ribbon.

The date of November 25 was designated by the United Nations General Assembly in 1999 as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, although the day had been marked by activists since 1981 as an opportunity to raise awareness of violence against women.

Google known for its efforts to draw attention to all kinds of these actions by adding various images to its homepage.
