The episodic feud between Microsoft and Google over the appearance of the YouTube application on the former's smartphones shows no sign of stopping. It seems that Google has achieved its goal, at least temporarily, since Windows Phones have succeeded in the three-year-old web player.
Google wants its proprietary application to be built on Microsoft devices in HTML 5 code, which makes it impossible for the latter to include the application on its devices, due to the Windows Phone and YouTube APIs that place insurmountable limitations on the project.
So far, Microsoft has not made any statement about the new development and it will be interesting to see if there is a sincere intention on Google's part to find a solution to the issue or if this is a huge... slap in the face to its competitor..
