Slack users can now access Anthropic’s Claude Code directly from within the app by tagging Claude (@Claude) in programming-related messages and threads. The new feature is launching in beta as a research preview.
When Claude is tagged, it will automatically scan the message to see if it is a development project and, if so, forward it to Claude Code using the context from the relevant Slack thread and the code repositories you have certified in Claude Code. Users can also directly notify Claude that a request is a development project. For example, you can ask Claude to investigate a bug reportyou are discussing in Slack without having to manually copy the entire context into Claude Code.

This feature is part of the existing Claude app for Slack, which previously functioned as an in-app chatbot. You don't need to download anything new if you already have it, but you will need to have the web version of Claude Code set up with the code repositories you want to use.
