Apple plans to integrate more third-party AI tools into its operating systems, according to CEO Tim Cook . In an interview with CNBC, Cook said, “ Our intention is to integrate more partners over time .” Apple has already integrated ChatGPT into Siri , while integration Google Gemini is in the works. We could also see partnerships with Anthropic and Perplexity .

This focus on third-party integrations has been mentioned before. Craig Federighi, Apple's senior vice president of software, said last year that the company may pursue integrations with various models such as Google Gemini.
Tim Cook also said that Apple is on track to launch an Siri AI-enhanced next year, noting that the company is “making good progress” on that front. During an earnings call, he said that AI acquisitions remain a possibility, stating: “We are open to pursuing mergers and acquisitions if we believe they will advance our roadmap.”

This announcement coincides with Apple's fourth-quarter earnings report, which revealed a record revenue of $102.5 billion, an 8% increase compared to the same period last year.
Sales from the iPhone 17 series make up only a small portion of the iPhone division's total revenue of $49.03 billion. The new lineup includes the iPhone Air, Apple's thinnest device, along with the upgraded iPhone 17 and 17 Pro. This year, Apple has introduced features previously exclusive to the Pro models to its basic devices, such as an always-on display with ProMotion support for smoother scrolling.

Despite the recent launch of the iPhone 17, Apple has yet to fully implement its AI ambitions, which are expected to power Siri across all of its devices. A Bloomberg report suggested that Apple may be working with Google to develop an AI search tool for Siri. Google CEO Sundar Pichaiconfirmed last year that the company is working on Gemini support for the iPhone.
