The Backbone Pro retains the telescopic design of its predecessor, but it stands out for a few important reasons. First, the new controller supports both USB-C and Bluetooth connectivity. This means you can also use it on a computer or smart TV if you wish.
Additionally, the Backbone Pro features larger analog sticks compared to the smaller ones on the previous model. There was some dissatisfaction with the size of the sticks on the Backbone One, so it's good that this issue has been fixed in the Pro.

Other notable features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB-C port for charging, up to 40 hours of wireless use, and two reprogrammable buttons on the back of the controller.
The Backbone Pro will be available for a suggested retail price of $169.99 via Backbone's official website and Best Buy stores. That's a significant increase over the already pricey $100. However, few mobile controllers offer both wired and wireless connectivity, and the larger sticks are certainly a welcome upgrade.
