Today, Oura announced the launch of two new features, “ Meals ” and “ Glucose ,” aimed at giving users a clearer picture of how daily habits impact overall metabolic function. The new additions integrate food logging and continuous blood glucose monitoring into the Oura app , allowing users to see how diet and blood sugar levels interact with other metrics like sleep, activity and stress.

The new features combine biometric data with AI-powered analytics, further cementing the Oura smart ring’s position as a holistic health tracking solution. While the “Meals” feature isn’t entirely new, having been available through the Oura Labs, it’s now a permanent feature of the app. It’s designed to help users understand how food impacts their well-being by using AI to analyze recorded foods and break them down into nutrients like protein, fiber, added sugars, fat, and carbs.
It then offers personalized guidance through Oura Advisor, the company’s artificial intelligence tool. Foods can be entered manually, selected from a favorites list, or uploaded via photos. According to the company, the tool aims to help users make more informed choices without calorie counting or judgment.

Meanwhile, Oura’s new “Glucose” feature is being made available through a new partnership with Dexcom, the company behind the Stelo biosensor. The device, which is FDA-cleared and available over-the-counter, allows users to continuously monitor glucose levels throughout the day. When connected to the Oura app, data from the sensor is combined with information about sleep, stress, and physical activity, providing a more complete picture of how each factor affects blood sugar.

An exciting new metric,Time Above Range, highlights periods of elevated glucose and provides trending insights that can help guide behavior change. Similarly, TimeAbove Range per Mealshows how long glucose levels remained elevated after each meal, based on the personal goals .
Meals and Glucose are now available to Oura members on iOS and Android in the United States. The company says that Meals is scheduled to roll out internationally later this year, while Oura Advisor integration with glucose is expected to roll out in the coming months.
